Making an American legend better. The future of Corvette.

Corvette fans. Brace yourself. Today, Chevrolet may finally introduce a mid-engine Corvette - cementing it as a world class sports car.

They have flirted with the idea for decades. But they might actually do it today. Since its inception in 1953, the Corvette was created to offer returning servicemen an American sports car option instead of importing foreign cars.

Fans on the internet have already started complaining about the possible move to a mid-engine. “It’s not American!”. “It’s not the character!”. “I refuse to call it a Corvette”. “We want a massive front hood!” Yeah, ok. A mid-engine platform makes a car more balanced and will thrust t

he Corvette into an already amazing competitor into supercar territory.

My hope is that they introduce a mid-engine Corvette with an optional double-clutch transmission. Save the manuals after all right?

What are your thoughts on a mid-engine Corvette?
